I’ve said it before elsewhere, but I’m pretty certain there’s an ambition amongst the big corporations to have giving anything away for free outlawed as an anti-competitive practice simply because they think everything should have a price tag attached and they don’t want to have to compete with people who don’t speak the language of money.
The fist in the final frame is very appropriate.
I dunno, a lot of open-source software is actually written by individuals paid by corporations who find it in their best interest to update contribs. (E.g. apple committing to BSD and google to linux).
