2013 Mimi & Eunice Calendar

This was put together by Dr M. Khurram Wadee of the University of Exeter, who writes:

You might be interested in knowing that your free art was processed by me with free software, namely: GNU/Linux, GNU/Emacs to produce a monthly calendar in LaTeX format and your PNG files were processed using Netpbm programs.  Almost all of my technical work is done using free software and I don’t know where I’d be without it.

  • I would love to have this at work, but being from sweden i’m used to the standard that weeks start on Monday and not sunday.

Dr Wadee, could you please render one version with monday-first or maybe dump a link to the source and i will render it myself.

    Great work!

  • Hi Leif,

Thanks for your message! Actually, I also prefer to call Monday the first day of the week too but the work was merely experimental and so I used the default values from Emacs. Since you requested a modified version, I’ve quickly edited the calendar accordingly.

    You may donwload it here.

I’m thinking of printing mine on A3 paper and of course the greatest work here is Nina’s.

    Regards,

    Khurram.

Nina, LOVE your work since first seen in Westword in the 90’s. Thought you might appreciate the irony of the error message when trying to view the Mimi/Eunice Exeter calendar: “Access forbidden! You don’t have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.”
